Romi Kohli brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the payments, banking, and fintech industries. A dynamic entrepreneur, Romi co-founded Fintainium, a U.S.-based company providing innovative payment services to small and mid-sized businesses across the U.S. and Canada.

In his current role as Vice President of Development, PMO, and Innovation at Everlink, Romi is spearheading the development of next-generation digital solutions. His work focuses on building an integrated platform that enables real-time Retail (P2P) and Business (B2B/B2P) payments, ISO20022 payment gateways, and API integrations for financial institutions, service providers, and fintechs. The platform also acts as a multiservice API gateway supporting invoicing, bill payments, AML/KYC, and fraud prevention tools.

Romi’s entrepreneurial achievements are grounded in award-winning technical expertise in payments technology and a versatile skill set spanning DevOps, cloud computing, and blockchain. He previously served as Vice President of Technology and Operations at Interac®, where he led e-Transfer, mobile payments, and other core initiatives. Romi also held leadership roles at Everlink earlier in his career, where his contributions were recognized with multiple innovation awards. Additionally, he has served as a Start-up Advisor for The BlockchainHub at York University, demonstrating his commitment to advancing innovation in emerging technologies.
