Alex Woda is the Managing Director of Awoda and a recognized expert in information security, enterprise architecture, and PCI compliance, with over 25 years of experience in both technical and leadership roles. A certified CISA, PCI PIN Security Assessor, and Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), Alex has led over 20 Level-1 PCI assessments and more than 30 specialized PCI assignments globally.

As a seasoned Enterprise and Security Architect, Alex specializes in infrastructure security, cloud computing, and cryptographic systems for secure electronic payments. He has co-developed a governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software suite and has designed and implemented fraud detection, AML systems, and secure database and application architectures.

In addition to his consulting work, Alex serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Schulich School of Business, where he teaches management science with a focus on risk and security. A frequent speaker and published author on PCI compliance, secure systems, and continuous control monitoring, he is widely respected for his ability to bridge technical depth with executive-level strategy.

Outside of cybersecurity, Alex is also an accomplished musician, recording engineer, and audio design specialist, demonstrating the same precision and creativity in his music as he does in his technology practice.
