Mohamed Mzohiri is Legal Counsel and FinTech Adviser at the Alberta Securities Commission, where he plays a leading role in shaping regulatory strategy at the intersection of emerging technologies and financial markets. A recognized authority in blockchain, DeFi, AI, and crypto-assets, Mohamed provides expert guidance on the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding digital finance.

He holds Canada’s only advanced legal degree focused on fiat-backed stablecoins, with an LL.M. from the University of Ottawa under the supervision of renowned scholars Michael Geist and Florian Martin-Bariteau. His thesis explores the regulatory risks and challenges of stablecoins within Canadian frameworks.
